Wow, had a whirlwind of a last six months. Work, school, Drama.. all the makings of great blog entries. Well, not exactly. But I got an interesting gig that I just had to mention. I've been learning from a master street painter on how to paint with spray paint. I'll tell you from experience, cans are both more and less fussy than an airbrush. But, if the conditions are right (warm can, clean cap, and the right page from the sears catalogue) You can do truly intricate pattern and detail in a minimum of time. But that being said, I have some ideas on how it might be applied to larger acrylic paintings in a beneficial way.
I don't want to go for too long without posting something new up. And, well... this is new. I was sketching on the bus, and actually had a woman scoot away from me. I wonder why? Well, anyway the plans for this is a tighter drawing to be finished in either watercolor, or digital media. I haven't decided yet, but am leaning towards watercolor. I’ll post it when I get it done.
This represents a bit of an experimentation for me. I took a painting that I painted in, well, Painter. Printed it out, then painted on it with Water Color. The results were surprising. I think this is something I'm going to do more of.
